The Reader-100 series

The Reader-100 series gives swift, easy access to large numbers of historical sources – at least 100 sources per title. It allows pupils to retrieve documents by:

  • Subject
  • Type of Source
  • Attainment target
….and other criteria.

The documents are specially chosen for their interest, their range of information and there suitability for source work. The software is exceptionally easy to use, which means that pupils, either singly or in groups, can be left to get on with their own searches, without constant supervision by their teacher.

Extensive suggestions for classroom use accompany each topic. The series offers an invaluable aid to developing enquiry skills, but also specifically addresses the range of other history skills in the questions that it suggests pupils ask of the sources.
